What do you enjoy most about being at MSU?
I enjoy the familiar faces, and the homey feeling I get when I walk past someone that just smiles. Many other college campuses are so large that a person can feel like a small fish in a big sea, but I believe MSU opens up endless opportunities to all students on campus and allows them to feel like the big fish.
What is the most important advice that you would give students?
I would give students the advice to start strong in their major, classes, or jobs that they may have because if they mess around their first year, they will find themselves trying to pull up struggling grades or find themselves trying to dig out a hole they buried themselves in.
Why should students go to SI?
I think that students should participate in SI because it provides them with a comfortable environment to ask questions and communicate with other students who might have the same questions. It allows students to meet one another and network among the people in their classes; however, I think the most important reason they should participate in SI is so that they can increase their overall GPA and their grade in the class.
I have thoroughly enjoyed being apart of MSU's Supplemental Instruction program because I have been given the chance to get to know many great people through it, and I have been able to be a mentor to students who do not feel at home yet at MSU. It has been such a rewarding experience to help a student struggling in the class bring their grade up to an A or a B.
