What are you currently teaching?
Currently, I am teaching the College Success I course for the Promise Student Support Program and the College Reading and Study Skills class for The Learning Center.

What do you enjoy most about working with MSU students?
Working with students daily to help them improve their college experience has been a plus to this position as an instructor and a coordinator.

What is the most important advice you would give students?
Plan! Plan! Plan! As a college student, students are asked to juggle several courses in one semester. Students must stay organized in order to efficiently and effectively complete each course.

Why should students take advantage of The Learning Center?
The Learning Center provides resources for all students. Students can use the www.tlc.msstate.edu link and locate times for specific tutoring sessions for specific courses. Students can also visit the Learning Center’s computer lab that is open to all students. The Learning Center offers an array of courses to help students improve their reading and study skills while taking courses here at MSU.

What are your hobbies or What do you do during your spare time?
My hobbies include enjoying family time with my husband and four children.

What are your research interest/specialty areas?
My research interests are in literacy and reading & study skills.
