Individualized Study Skills Sessions

Reading/Study Skills Assessment - Students may receive a free assessment of reading or study skills if recommended by an instructor or advisor. This will consist of three 1-hr. sessions with an advisor at the Learning Center.

• Session I - the Lassi Study Skills Inventory or a reading inventory will be administered.
• Session II - the analysis of this test with materials and handouts for two or three of the weakest areas will be covered.
• Session III - a follow up or continuation of needed assistance will be administered

An email from the instructor or advisor will be acceptable for admission to this program or the online registration form may be used. A maximum of 20 students will be accepted per semester.

PRAXIS I Assistance - The Learning Center advises students needing help preparing for the PRAXIS I Exam to take the course LSK 2990: Praxis I Preparation. However, in times when this is not possible TLC will work with students on an individualized basis on preparing for the PRAXIS I. For more information on this option, please schedule an appointment with TLC for a more detailed explanation. Costs are associated with this service.
